CV TARUM BALI SEJAHTERA

Our concern about the extensive use of synthetic colors in the textile industry in Indonesia and the resulting environmental damage caused by waste led us to start our company. In 1998, we came up with the idea of creating natural dye processes using plants. We collected data and references from both within Bali and outside Bali to inform our ideas. We also considered the demand for custom creations from customers, who had their own concepts and designs for clothing models, types of fabrics, and batik creations. We needed a flexible process to accommodate their requests from other countries while developing production in Indonesia.

Since 2001, CV. Tarum Bali Sejahtera has used environmentally friendly methods in fabric dyeing, making it possible to carry out all processes sustainably and responsibly. We have more than one hectare of garden that we use for planting several types of trees whose leaves we harvest and use as the main ingredients for fabric dyeing. By using leaves from various trees as the main ingredients, we hope to bring innovation to the textile industry and offer environmentally friendly products to consumers. However, using natural dyes requires a different process than synthetic dyes and takes longer because the leaves must be processed to obtain the desired color. This is necessary to preserve the cultural values that have been passed down for many years.
